Benton, others, focus of site

Benton, AR (August 15, 2007) –

The premiere showing of a web site for the Saline County Economic Development Corporation was held during Monday night's Benton City Council meeting.

State Senator Shane Broadway of Bryant introduced Paul Doramus and Gary Ballard, who developed the site, which Broadway said is being used to promote Benton as well as other areas of the county.

He credited its professional status to the work of Ballard and Doramus.

Among other areas featured on the site, the old Benton airport is being promoted to potential users, Broadway said.

He called the site "user-friendly" and said SCEDC plans to "use it a lot to promote Benton and Saline County to prospective employers.
